The Suit
A suit may no be an everyday wear for all men, may not even be an every week wear and for you guys who seldom like to look sharp or have the excuse of, "I never have to dress up," a suit may not even be a once a month wear for you but no gentleman lives a suit free life. A suit is not your tweed or camel hair jacket with pants that compliment the jacket nor is it your navy blazer paired with some navy trousers that you thought matched the jacket. A suit is considered to be a suit when the jacket and trousers are made from the same cloth. Many sartorialist would argue that a very dark navy suit should be the first color that a man should buy when starting a suit wardrobe. Now I make this next statement with confidence but also with caution but many new age sartorialist would probably say that gray is the new navy, not a light summertime gray or a dreary charcoal, a medium gray. With that being said when starting a suit wardrobe I would advise going with a solid navy or medium gray for your first suit, for your second suit go with a navy or medium gray suit with a subtle pattern, preferably a different color than the first suit and for that third suit go with a black, I know you can't resist and then venture into your earth tones, browns, greens, etc.The fit of your suit is very important, make sure it compliments whatever features you do have, you don't want to look like you are in a potato sack as opposed to a well tailored suit. If you can get a bespoke suit when starting your wardrobe go for it, it will be worth every dollar. A well fitted, good looking suit can open many doors, the wrong suit will cause many doors to be closed. Choose wisely!

A Tribute to "The Staple Piece Navy Blazer"
If there is one true "Staple Piece" in a man's wardrobe one would definitely have to say it is the navy blazer. Originated in the mid to late 1800s it's a must have in any gentleman's wardrobe. With versatility being a key feature of the navy blazer it can be admitted into any event, except for an event that may require black tie and patented leather shoes of course. With its savvy gold or silver buttons its designed to catch the eye of a beautiful stranger. This traditional jacket can definitely benefit and open many doors in any wardrobe. The same way that a lady's wardrobe can be based on one must have cocktail dress, a gentleman's wardrobe must include a navy blazer, this will be his "staple piece," making him confident, assertive and undaunted.
