The Spring Essentials Part 1

The spring season is filled with many transformations. The temperature rises and those frigid temperatures are forgot about. The flowers start to bud and the bees begin to buzz. So as the season changes and mother nature transforms don't miss the opportunity to show off a little bit of that new years resolution body with some easily accessible spring essential wardrobe pieces.

Aviator Sunglasses
Aviators were originally designed by Ray Ban in the late 1930s for pilots entering World War II. They did not become hugely popular to the public until about the 1960s and then became even more popular years later around 1986 when movie stars Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer wore them as Air Force Pilots in the cinema hit Top Gun. You may not look as cool as they did but you definitely want to have a pair of these on standby.

The Chambray Shirt
Chambray is not denim but it is often miscontrued and thought of as denim. It is a woven fabric compromised of colored thread. For those wardrobe mishaps don't look any further for a go to shirt. This piece can be worn with khakis, a blazer or sport coat and for the modern gentleman a suit. This is definitely the go to shirt for the season.

The Knit Tie
Don't be so uptight! Show your personality by wearing a knit tie with any ensemble you can think of, work or play. With a suit it will tone down the traditional aroma of a two-button jacket and will be more modern. It will definitely add sartorial charisma to your casual outfits by sprucing up your ensemble. Dark jeans, a great fitting modern shirt , a knit tie, a casual jacket and you're ready to take on a night on the town. Just be prepared to get asked for style tips.

Slim Chinos
Not a slack and definitely not denim but somewhere in the middle falls the chino. Get rid of the baggy unshapely chino and get a pair that will have heads turning. Fit definitely matters. They can definitely be dressed up but don't be afraid to make these your new favorite pant for the weekend or atleast your go to replacement when you want to give your favorite jeans a break. Great fitting chinos are a great investment.

Wingtips
Wingtips or Brogues for the fashion historians originated in Ireland and Scotland and the perforations which can be found on the shoe were originally used to allow water to drain from the shoes when crossing wet terrain. Now a days the shoe comes in multiple finishes and can be worn multiple ways, making it a fashion necessity. Slacks, jeans, chinos and even shorts can be paired with your wingtips. Do yourself a favor and pick up a pair or two.
