How many buttons do you button?

When it comes to suits there are multiple options as far as button configuration is concerned. Some options are acceptable while others just should simply not be an option when you go to your closet.

1 Button Suit
Many men have fell into the trend of the one-button suit. In the 1960s jazz all-star Miles Davis made a huge statement by wearing the one-button suit as a band leader and trumpeter. This button style is not necessarily a great choice to wear to work contingent upon your work environment, so be mindful of that as you answer your weekday fashion conundrums. A one-button suit is a great replacement for an event that requires you to look your very best without being completely formal. As with everything fit is important. For those with a great lean physique a one-button suit is a great way to draw attention to your slim figure and stern shoulders. For those who pack on a few extra pounds in the mid-section this may not be a great option for you, keep that in mind while weighing your options.

2 Button Suit
The two-button suit or jacket is the most prevalent of suit button configuration options. The main reason being that it works for multiple body types if not all body types and it is such a classic piece. This option is great to wear to work or for occasions in which you do need to be formal. If you are in the market for your first suit two-button is definitely the way to go, you cant go wrong and I'm sure others would concur. Do not get caught with your bottom button buttoned, it just isn't right.

3 Button Suit
The three-button suit is definitely not as popular as it used to be but it is still an option. This style of jacket was popular a few years ago, well more so in the early to mid 90s. It tried to make a come back in the 2000s but has not done so just yet. It is by far the least flattering to the eye and comes up the highest on the chest area. There is a very good reason to wear a three-button suit, if you are a taller gentleman, at least 6'0 feet or better, preferably taller than 6'0 feet more like 6'4. Otherwise stick to the one-button or two-button option, it will suit you better. The three-button suit or jacket is still a prevalent piece but it is definitely not for everyone and no it is not out of style but it probably is not your style.

Double-Breasted Suit
If you want to have heads turning and jaws dropping lace up your hard bottoms and put on a masterpiece that has made a strong come back with a few different features, the double-breasted suit. This suit is not for those lacking wit and sartorialism but for the gentleman with inner "GQ" powers. For men that are in great shape this will suit you very well but it can be worn by any body type as long as it is tailored correctly. Now better than ever because of it's slimmer lapels and shorter jacket length, the double-breasted suit is definitely an option when you are going to an event that will be fitting for this style. The button option seen most for this jacket style is referred to most as a 6x2 button configuration because it has 6 buttons and only 2 of them can be buttoned, always leaving the bottom button undone. Do not be afraid to overlap your peers with the classic look of a double-breasted suit, you will definitely earn the nickname "Debonair."

All of the stated button configurations from above are prevalent options when you are selecting a suit style, some maybe be better than others depending on the individual. There are also button configurations that ARE NOT acceptable for any reason, please stay away from them, these below pictures are options that you should avoid by all cost!

Spicer Exquisite Fashion's Top 5 Fashionable Males

Without further ado here are 5 of Spicer Exqusite Fashion's most stylish male choices that epitomize what a well-rounded man should consider when he puts on his pants.

FIVE
With multiple decades of successful action packed films it is hard to believe that each character in these movies played their role so well and looked so sharp doing it. With fine suits from Brioni and Tom Ford and shoes by Church, James Bond was one well dressed man. If looks could kill Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig would flat line the most elite of fashion critics.

FOUR
His résumé speaks for itself! As the former creative director for Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent his fashion sense is second to none. Let me not forget he also tried his hand at directing a movie. Nonetheless his impeccable savvy for high end chic and major sex appeal when it comes to clothing makes him a shoe in or should I say a "suit in" for the fashion industry. Jay-Z said it best, "I don't pop molly, I rock Tom Ford."

THREE
If you are a victim to the thought that jeans are okay for every occasion you are sadly mistaken. Just ask George Clooney who embodies what a versatile man should look like. He switches it up from a formal tux with a bow tie to a classic charcoal suit and no tie, he even looks presentable in his comfortable jeans and chinos with a solid tee. When you are accepting awards with such prestige as Academy and Golden Globe you have no choice but to look amazing.

TWO
It is hard to put a better foot forward in any aspect of life when competing with the feet of soccer superstar David Beckham. He was destined for greatness early in life on the soccer field winning a national skills competition at the young age of 11. Coming from London soccer and style are in his genes and it shows in a major way on the field and off the field. He has been a go to man for multiple modeling campaigns and is on everyone's "Most Stylish Man" list. His most recent scissor kick in the fashion world was becoming the new face of Belstaff, a British brand known for its luxury outerwear. Of course he can dress casual he wore a soccer uniform professionally for 21 years but when it comes to a suit and tie this guy is just as phenomenal and definitely a top pick on many people's list of fashion gurus. You will get a red card when trying to compete with Beckham on the runway.

ONE
From Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik to Idlewild one half of Outkast makes a huge statement on the fashion scene by not being afraid to do the unknown on many levels when it comes to fashion. André 3000 really has his own distinctive manner of expression. He has become such an icon for his sense of style by making mistakes when it comes to putting his ensembles together. What better way to become good at something, trial and error. Now that he has become a professional at getting dressed he has went to the next level by creating his own clothing line, Benjamin Bixby. From the over the top hairstyles, the flamboyant trousers and different facets of braces André Benjamin is a walking book of fashion tips. I think it's safe to say that at this point Ms.Jackson would allow her daughter on a few dates with the dapper dandy.
